HAIR SECRETS
FIRST THINGS FIRST……
Yes, it is my natural color. I’m super lucky and sorry I can’t give you the exact color number. No, I’m not Irish. No, it is not extensions. I have always kept my hair long. I’ve basically gotten the same haircut since I was 12. I get my hair cut at L’appartement in NYC with Loic Cammisano. I get my hair cut 2-3 times per year depending on my hair growth. See routine, tips, and products below… Disclaimer, everyone’s hair is different so feel free to try these tips/products out but I’m not an expert on hair <3
ROUTINE:
I wash my hair 1-2 times a week maximum.
I make my own Rosemary water and spray it on my hair 3 times per day.
I try to do an oil bun twice week. An oil bun is literally slathering your hair in oil and slicking it into a bun and wearing it for the whole day (and night if you want. Just sleep with a silk bonnet so it doesn’t wreck your pillowcases).
I only put heat or hot tools on my hair 1-2 times a week.
TIPS:
Scalp Facials. Think about it. Your scalp has follicles that get blocked just like your pores on your face. When you are adding product like hairspray, gel, dry shampoo, etc it gets in the follicles and can prevent hair growth. I get Scalp Treatments at New Hair in NYC. Ask for Megan. They take a photo of your follicles and show you how blocked they are and then they take a photo after treatment and you’ll see how drastically different it looks.
STOP USING HAIR TIES. Use these satin scrunchies instead.
Rinse in cold water for less frizz and more shine.
STOP putting your hair into tight pony tails and buns. This breaks the hair.
Scalp Massage Tools. This stimulates hair growth and feels amazing. I try to do this every night.
Satin Pillow Cases: Your hair and face will thank you.
Satin Bonnet. Game changer.
What you eat/drink/smoke shows up in your skin and hair. My hair drastically improved once I stopped smoking cigarettes and cut out drinking.
HAIR CARE PRODUCTS:

Minoxidil: Just trust me.
Supplements: I started using Wellbell and have seen drastic improvement with how fast my hair is growing.
LED Cap: My before and afters are INSANE. I use it for 10 minutes everyday. You have to be consistent if you want to see results.
HOT TOOL PRODUCTS:
Shine + Anti Frizz: Just get this. You have to fully coat your wet hair for it to work and it is heat activated.
Hair Spray: This one is just the OG
Straightener: I love this one so much.
Curling Iron: I use a 1.5 inch curler for curls/waves. A 2 inch curler for more of a blowout look. If your hair is shorter than your shoulders, I recommend the 1.25 inch.
Dryer: I use a dyson because it dries my hair the fastest.
